painting a MMM motherboard

Okay, so you've purchased an Aluminum motherboard from MMM. Now what?

Remember to properly prep for paint in order to get proper adhesion to the surface

1. The surface has already been *scotchbrited for you. (*aka lightly sanded to help paint stick)

2. Clean thoroughly with turpentine or some other solvent to remove dirt and oxidization.

3. Wear some latex or rubber gloves when handling the clean motherboard, this will prevent the transfer of oils from your skin which can contaminate your clean surface and hinder paint adhesion.

4. Use a good metal primer preferably Automotive primer or one specifically made for aluminum. Do two coats.

5. Use a good metal spray enamel or automotive paint for best results. Do two coats.

There you go, now you can mount your mounting kit and install your pack shell or scratchbuilt pack

We also offer the aluminum bracket mounting kit
